Valentine’s Dance

So this year at my school, there was something called ‘valentines dance’. The valentines dance takes place on valentines day or if Valentines is on a weekend, they move it to a Friday. There’s an organization called ‘PPO’. They organize a bunch of fun, superb activities. The valentine’s dance is that there’s a DJ, drinks and snacks. Students from the school are allowed to come if they want to.

At the dance most people huddle up in front of the DJ. Some of them even request some songs. Some songs are good and some are not so good. I and my friends run around, running from my friend, Bernie Online.

THE DANCE WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!

Have you ever been to a dance before, if so, what did you do at the dance?

Harry, Yer Famous.

owenWhat would it feel like being famous at your school?

In this post I’ll talk about what it feels like being famous. In the successful books of Harry Potter franchise, Harry is very famous. The reason he is famous is because Voldemort has tried to kill Harry. In the book it says:

‘Never wondered how you got that mark on yer forehead? that was no ordinary cut. That’s what yeh get when a powerful, evil curse touches yeh – took care of yer mum an’ dad an’ yer house, even – but it didn’t work on you, an’ that’s why yer famous, Harry. No one ever lived after he decided to kill ’em, no one except you, an’ he’d killed some o’ the best witches an’ wizards of the age – the Kinnons , the Bones, the Prewetts – an’ you was a baby, an’ you lived.,                                                                                                     -Hagrid

So now yer no why Harry’s famous now here some are the pros and cons.

Pros:

  1. You’ll be super famous
  2. being famous you make more friends

Cons:

  1. Your a major bully target

Surprisingly there’s not a lot of cons. In this case I think the good out balances the bad.

If I missed any pros and cons leave it in the comments. 😀

Boo! Do ya have Goosebumps?

So, a few minutes ago we were led to the school library. We read Goosebumps, by R. L. Stine.

My specific book was called Goosebumps ATTACK OF MUTANT. Having in the top left corner “He’s no superhero. He’s a super villain! ” The cover depicts  a muscular batman spin-of. In the top left corner it says: “He’s no super hero super hero ,He’s a super villain! ”

Anyways back to the general idea. Goosebumps is a successful book written by R. L. Stine. The book starts off in a normal life but after a while the book gets scary. Me, personally, I detest scary stuff .

Have you ever read a Goosebumps book? If so, What’s your favorite book of the series?

Quidditch, Fictional sport?

owenWARNING! THERE ARE A FEW SPOILERS AHEAD! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

So, in Harry Potter, instead of any muggle (non-magic person) sports like hockey, soccer, tennis, judo and more. Instead, J.K. Rowling invented Quidditch. Quidditch is when instead of the nets on either side there’s a three hoops on each side. And instead of a projectile to kick or hit, there’s things called: Quaffle, Bludger or Blooder and the golden Snitch. Continue reading

Ding Dong! Trick or Treat!

owenAh! Hallowe’en – one of the many days full of happiness. Hallowe’en is a special day when you dress up in a costume and go trick=or-treating. That’s when you go door to door ringing doorbells and then they give you candy.

Usually my family and I decorate our house with lights and all, but this year I think were on top of our game. Also in the tradition of Hallowe’en, there’s something called a jack-o-lantern. It all started in the mid-1800’s when one day someone named Jack, one day he died with a lantern in his hand. Then the Irish thought that the spirit of Jack still exists and it Continue reading

What About Feelings? | Blog Action Day

owenLast, year in grade 4 me and my classmates wrote letters to a nearby hospital. We all had to write nice and simple” hope you get better” cards. I think everybody did a good job.

If I was in a hospital for countless hours and get a letter, it would the best thing since sliced bread. I think it’s just nice to get a letter from a complete stranger writing a nice thing to you. If I was in a pickle, getting a card is excellent

Also, the poor people have nearly any toys of clothes. So, every year my family gives away toys we don’t use and clothes we don’t use. Once in a few months, it feels good to get rid of random stuff that sits around my house, that you trip on and give it to the poor.

The First Harry Potter Book Of The Franchise

owenThis year in English class, my class and I are reading Harry Potter The Philosopher’s Stone. I don’t know about you readers of this blog, but this is my favorite book. This is the first book of the Harry Potter franchise. There’s eight novels but nine movies. That’s because the deathly hallows is split in two. I saw that in the U.S. Target that there’s a new Harry Potter book, the cursed child. My favorite part of the entire story is when Hagrid brings Harry to Diagon Alley.

What’s your favorite Harry Potter book in the franchise?
